Fun fact. Our caravan is only 20 inches wider each side than our super king bed. 😆 Every time I see our caravan on our drive, I wonder how 5 of us managed to live in such a small space for 8 months! Even though the space was small, we are missing road life terribly. 💔 . . . #wishwewerebackthere #travelfamily #familytravels #adventure #ontheroad #vanlife #roadadventure #roadschool

Day 3️⃣0️⃣5️⃣: QUAIL CREEK State Park, Utah ➡️ Apparently we missed National Red Head Day this week, so we’re a little late to the party. Elyse is our mysterious red headed child, witty, determined, tough as nails, and a big heart. She was born with a bright orange flame on top of her tiny head 🔥 and it still shines bright in so many ways. Here are a few fun facts about red heads: ❤️ they make up less than 2% of the population ❤️ contrary to popular belief, they are not going extinct ❤️ the chances of having red hair and blue eyes is only 0.17%. (Woah! She’s a rare kid.) ❤️ they need up to 20% more anesthesia because they are more sensitive to pain (hmmm... not seeing this one) . . . . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ @goldfishandramen Eveleth Family Adventures ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Crazy family of 4🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♂️ from San Diego, California Penny pinching our way 🔄 𝕌𝕊𝔸🇺🇸 Living together in our tiny RV 🚍 . . . #roadschooling #wanderbutnotlost #getoutthere #roadschool #learnoutside #betteroutside #goexplore #fulltimervfamily #familyadventure #rvtravel #rvtravelwithkids #travelwithkids #rvfamily #travelblogger #fulltimefamily #fulltimervfamily #rvliving #optoutside #rvliving

Do your kids like #wordsearches ? My son loves doing them (so do I 🤣) and loves it even more when it's about a topic he's interested in. So I spent some time tonight making a couple fun travel themed word searches (and a bonus #HarryPotter one! ⚡) I've made some free downloads in my email list so you can share them with your kids too! Click the link in my bio to sign up to my email list and I'll send you the pdf downloads lightening quick ⚡ (see what I did there??)

My house looks like it was burglarized. Like, really burglarized. Chairs overturned, cushions off every single sofa and seat, drawers all open.....⁣ ⁣ We have a new paralegal joining our firm on Monday and for some insane reason I also decided to start our new school year the same day. We haven’t done school since February, I’ve been sick for 13 weeks but somehow I decided to really go for it on June 1st. 🤞🏻⁣ ⁣ This means that Case and I were working extra this week. You know what the kids do when both parents are working from home? They live their best life. 😂 ⁣ ⁣ For Finn that means that he takes out every single toy we own along with other odds and ends and creates “kingdoms” and traps all over the house. Seriously....even our driveway and front yard bushes have ropes and plastic bins strewn about. ⁣ ⁣ For Harlow that means she gets up in the mix, sits on my lap and “helps” me work. 🤪 It feels absolutely nuts to be functioning this way. There is no surface in my house that isn’t a disaster right now and I worked away yesterday while listening to “If You’re Happy and You Know It” and “The Wheels on the Bus”. ⁣ ⁣ At one point a massive delivery truck arrived because we ordered Harlow a big-girl full size bed (she’s still in a crib). The dog escaped from the back yard, we had a conference call going, one of the kids busted their chin on a brick wall....⁣ pure chaos. I felt weirdly calm and composed and just smiled at Case. This insane life is ours and it’s messy and beautiful and I love it. ⁣ ⁣ On top of all of that we are moving out of our office building. Our entire team has been working from home since the first week of March and we plan on keeping them at home until the pandemic is over. So, we have been organizing a move from the office into storage via FaceTime. Wow it has been a week. ⁣ ⁣ To sum it up, the theme of this spring has been “ let it go.” I’m letting all the things go. It feels liberating and exciting during the moments I don’t let stress creep in. ⁣ ⁣ The kids are happy and thriving. The house will be clean one day (not sure when 🤷🏼‍♀️) and I will surely miss this insane time. ⁣ ⁣ How is everyone else’s quarantine going? 🤗⁣ ⁣

☀️LOOK OUT FOR DEHYDRATION ☀️ This week’s weather is set to be high again, and if your children are like mine they will live in the garden all week! Reminding them to drink when they are in full play can be a challenge. Giving food high in water helps such as watermelon and of course ice lollies! A dehydrated child can appear to be naughty/frustrated on first glance. Symptoms of dehydration in children include: 🌼Feeling thirsty 🌼Dark yellow and strong smelling pee 🌼Feeling dizzy or lightheaded 🌼Feeling tired or irritable 🌼Dry mouth, lips and eyes 🌼Peeing little, and fewer than 4 times a day - or nappies drier than normal You child may not be able to explain or understand how they are feeling and can come across as naughtiness or frustration. If your child shows any dehydration symptoms. Give regular small sips and allow them to gradually drink more if they can. You can use a spoon or a medicine syringe to make it easier for your child to swallow the fluids. You should drink enough during the day so that your pee is a pale clear colour. . . . . . #honestparenting #parentingdoneright #family #momlife #roadschooling #dadlife #positiveparenting #parenthood #dadsofinstagram #baby #parentinghacks #motherhoodunplugged #mumlife #momhumor #parenting101 #toddlermomlife #momgoals #dad #parentingquotes #roadschool #raisingkids #momproblems #parenting #parentingmemes #funnymom #unschooling #parentinglife #biglifejournal #motherhood #rawmotherhood

This boy has been so attached to his butterflies he got for his birthday. It’s been a long journey and he’s loved every minute. Today was the day to release them 🦋 He was a little wobbly about the idea of it. He’d been taking them into the living room to watch tv with him and showed them all his Lego❤️ So to make it easier for him, we had a party. We made butterfly cakes together, we danced like butterflies and spent the day in the garden whilst they made their way out their little home into the world. And luckily, he loved watching them fly out too. I always think it’s these little things that shape the person you become. I might be wrong and totally batty to go to all that effort...but it made him smile and that’s worth it all❤️ Happy Butterfly Release Day🦋

On the road again! First stop is Gulf Shores, Alabama. We weren’t sure what to expect leaving Florida but we’re happy to find other places doing their best to reopen safely. Met some locals and they let us in on a little secret—a beach without tourists. It took a 2 mile hike to get there but we had the whole beach to ourselves!

The recent rains and change in weather sent a bunch of Morels (edible mushrooms) popping to the surface. 🌧 🍄 😀 We learned from our hosts that people make a living hunting for these yummy treats. We were lucky enough to try some with our steak dinner the other night. Yum! 😁😋 #morels #whatsfordinner
